Universal Pictures made a conscious decision to move away from the street racing theme of the earlier films in the series, aiming to draw in wider audiences with a greater emphasis on heist action rather than cars and car culture. Fast Five has been deemed the transitional movie, containing only one car race but more focus on hand-to-hand fighting, gun battles, and the primary heist. To promote the film, an extensive marketing campaign was launched, including TV and online adverts, virtual games, cinema chains, automotive companies, and NASCAR events. By February 2010, agreements were in place for Diesel, Lin, and Walker to return; filming began that July and finished that October - locations included Atlanta, Puerto Rico, and Rio de Janeiro. Brian Tyler was hired to compose the score. Mia and Brian waited for Dom to join them and their friend Vince before they embarked on their mission to steal three cars from a train. They soon discovered that DEA agents were also on the same train and that the cars were seized property. When Dom arrived with his accomplices, he knew that Zizi only wanted the Ford GT40 car. Unfortunately, Dom and Brian were captured and brought to drug lord Hernan Reyes, who was the owner of the cars as well as Zizi's boss.

The film was released on the 19th of March, 2004, by Universal Pictures. It received a positive response from critics and audiences alike, as it topped the box office during its United States opening weekend and grossed $102.3 million worldwide with a budget of only $26 million. Retrospective reviews have placed Dawn of the Dead among some of the best zombie and horror movies ever created.
Ana, a nurse who has just finished her shift for the day, goes home to her suburban neighborhood with her husband Luis; however, they miss an emergency news bulletin due to their date night plans. The next morning, a neighborhood girl intrudes into their bedroom and kills Luis; though he immediately reanimates as one of the undead and attacks Ana. After crashing her car while attempting to flee, she wakes up and meets a police sergeant along with an electronics salesman, Michael; Andre - a small-time criminal - and his expecting wife Luda. They enter a nearby mall and are ambushed by an infected security guard who manages to injure Luda in the process.

The filmmakers drew inspiration from the 2003 movie The Curse of the Black Pearl when creating the script and tone of the film, with critics referring to it as a "requel". Terry Rossio began pre-production shortly before On Stranger Tides was released in 2011, with Jeff Nathanson being hired two years later to write a new script, involving Depp in the process. Initially planned for a 2015 release, issues with the script and budget caused several delays before principal photography started in Australia in February 2015 (funded by a government tax incentive worth $20 million). Dead Men Tell No Tales premiered in Shanghai on May 11, 2017, and was unleashed in the US on May 26. Reviews were generally negative but it still earned an impressive worldwide gross of $795 million. Upon learning that notorious sea captain Salazar has killed many pirates and decimated his fleet, Captain Barbossa proposes finding Jack Sparrow as a way to save himself. Salazar agrees, vowing revenge on Jack, and sets off in pursuit. Jack; his son Henry; and Carina end up fleeing to an island on which Salazar's crew can't set foot. Barbossa then offers his support to Jack by returning his compass which brings back the miniaturized Black Pearl vessel to its original size. As they journey onward, Jack and Barbossa come to realize that Carina is actually Barbossa's long-lost daughter.
